Skate Competition

PROJEKTS MCR skateboard coaches will running a beginner tutoring session from 12pm to 1pm with all the safety and skateboard equipment for up to 15 people. Then from 1pm - 2pm the skatepark will be open for a free skate/warmup before the competition.

At 2pm, there will be a series of 15 minute best trick competitions on the various obstacles throughout the park, including rail, driveway and mini ramp. After a 30 minute break, we will finish the event with a 20 minute jam session.

Prizes will be given for each best trick and for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the jam. The specific prize we give out may vary but, ideally, we will provide a deck per best trick (3 in total), t-shirt, deck and wheels for 1st place in jam, deck for 2nd place, and 3rd place gets wheels.

BMX Competition

For those of you who prefer wheels to feet and air to the ground why not come and jam on the new BMX park? This new addition to Platt Fields Park will host freeride sessions and there will be a chance to win cool new parts for your BMX bike in a BMX competition.

If you've never ridden or seen trials come down to have a go on a bike and see a skills demo. Whether you think you're up to a competition or just want to ride and hang out the BMX park is the place for you.

Basketball Competition

The court is open all day, but we will have a 3 on 3 competition from 1–4 pm. Free kit giveaway to winners.

If you want to take part in the competition download a signup form and post it to the address on it, or email us with names and contact details for a 3 or 4 (substitute) person team. You can also bring the flyer on the day, but we can't guarantee a place unless you register.

Family Fun

R3 will be a safe and fun day out for all the family. There will be an inflatable football pitch, bouncy castles, the park’s play area, and food stalls available for food and ice cream.
